NCBC Two-Day Seminar in Catholic Health Care Ethics @ St. Catherine of Siena Priory
Sep 20 @ 8:30 am – Sep 21 @ 5:30 pm

Each Fall The National Catholic Bioethics Center presents a series of two-day seminars in various cities across the United States to address current topics in bioethics. Required for those participating in the Center’s National Catholic Certification Program in Health Care Ethics, these seminars are open to all engaged in, or preparing to engage in health care ministries consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.  These seminars are intended to benefit health care workers, clergy, those involved in research in the life sciences, members of ethics committees, and others who provide spiritual support and counsel to patients and their families. Those interested in understanding and advancing the Church’s moral tradition in health care will also find them accessible and informative.

National Gianna Center Gala Honoring DFHCMNY @ Tibeca 360°
Oct 3 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

On Thursday, October 3, The National Gianna Center for Women’s Health and Fertility will present DFHCMNY with the Saint Gianna Lifetime Achievement Award at its Third Annual National Gianna Gala.

The National Gianna Center for Women’s Health and Fertility is committed to advancing the culture of life by providing pro-life, authentically Catholic health and fertility care to women and families.

In honoring DFHCMNY, the National Gianna Center recognizes a unity of mission between our two Catholic health care apostolates that seek to bring hope and joy to patients in an authentically Catholic way. We too recognize that affinity and are grateful to be honored by an organization with whom we share so much.

“From Healing to Hope” – Ten Days of Preaching and Prayer with Saint Luke and Saint Jude @ Church of St. Catherine of Siena and Church of St. Vincent Ferrer
Oct 18 @ 5:15 pm – Oct 28 @ 7:00 pm

The friars of DFHCMNY will preach Masses every day at the Church of St. Catherine of Siena and the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer from the Feast of St. Luke on October 18, to the Feast of St. Jude on October 28. St. Luke is the patron of physicians. St. Jude, whose shrine is at St. Catherine’s, is the patron of those who search for hope. In honor of these two apostolic patrons of our health care community, we will celebrate ten days of preaching and prayer that we will call, “From Healing to Hope.”
